Just talked with support and they notified me cURL should work either the linux based or windows based hosting plans.  cURL is available on Windows from PHP.  Hope that helps!

Might try putting in an e-mail to support@lunarpages.com so they could have a look at your issue to see if there is anything wrong on the server side of things.

Hello,

Your curl files should work in our linux hosting plan.

We are limited with the amount of scripting and coding support we can provide through the support desk, as support is primarily for account and server issues.

You may also want to ask your questions in our forums at http://lunarforums.com . There are many customers and employees that frequently go to these forums answering questions and asking their own. You would also have a wider audience to assist in answering your questions in the forums then you would here through the help desk.

Alright I was able to hunt down your ticket number, and I could see where the tech working on your ticket may have been confused.  I've been looking this over for some time and I have a few things that should be worth checking into.

First thing I would suggest doing is trying to contact the script creator to see if this should work on a Windows hosting account.  I see on the official web site that the only requirement was php 4 or php 5 but there really should be more information there for you to go by.  Not sure if this is a cURL issue so much as just a bad script or a script not meant for Windows hosting.

Also it was brought to my attention that the web site's official domain:

http://www.phpvideosearch.com/index.html

The top graphic when you hover over it has the text "Videosearchscript.com" which is a totally different web site you might also want to get more information from.  Not sure if the two are related.

Also, if the script works on your Linux hosting account, then you could add the not-working domain to your hosting plan as an addon domain.  On the Basic and Business hosting plans, you can host an unlimited number of addons (as many as you have room to support) so that might be the quicker fix to this issue.

And one more thing, if your looking for an alternative I would recommend searching here:

http://www.hotscripts.com/

I hope that helps some, and if there is anything else we can assist you with please feel free to let us know.

i think its something to do with Apache... cos it uses Mod_rewrite

does it come in windows hosting ??
i have the option of apache handlers in the account which the script works.

No, Apache doesn't come with Windows hosting - so that could be an issue too.  Might just be the script is not suitable for a Windows hosting account too.
