The other day I thought it was just a glitch.  Today I hoped it was just my computer but I confirmed it on another machine: none of the PHP files on any of my websites are showing up.  That means none of my menus show on any of my pages.  Why would this happen???

You have this:
Code:
<?php include("includes/leftblockmenu.php"); ?>

try this:
Code:
<?php include("./includes/leftblockmenu.php"); ?>

it is just a "./" BEFORE your includes folder.

Tried it.  It didn't make any difference.  The thing is, my websites have been fine for months.  Why would my PHP files suddenly just stop showing up?

radnor is wrong. The two lines of code are identical in function.

Has your server been changed or upgraded lately? What is the extension of the file that includes these lines of code? Are they .php? If not, do you still have .htaccess lines telling the server to treat .html or whatever as PHP code?

Yes, they're all .php

The thing is, these websites have been up for months and they were fine.  Then the other day I went to check on one of them and none of my menus showed up.  I realized it was the same across the board for all my sites and discovered that none of my .php files were showing up.  I didn't do anything to my websites beforehand, it just seemed to happen randomly, and I don't understand why.

I don't know if my server has been changed or upgraded lately.  Would that do it?  How do I fix it?

If an upgrade isn't listed here under server news, open a ticket with support (via email or the web page) asking them if there's been an upgrade. If they upgraded to PHP 5, certain workarounds in your .htaccess to get to a specific PHP version may no longer work and may need to be updated. Or they may have tried to automatically update your .htaccess or php.ini and something broke. You need to look at those files and figure out if something's changed (that you didn't do), or if something needs changing due to a system upgrade or move.

Looks like they are working now.  What was it?  Was about to suggest looking at permissions.

This is what Support told me:

Quote
Is the issue here, that includes are not working?

When going to http://www.unicorn-cove.com/ , should we see the menu shown at http://www.unicorn-cove.com/leftblockmenu.php shown on this page in the left side?

I did notice that this was not working as your code would seem to indicate, and so further review showed that you had in your .htaccess file :

AddHandler x-httpd-php .html htm

And I have changed this to :

AddHandler application/x-httpd-php .php .html
AddType application/x-httpd-php .html

It works now, so that must have been it.  Thanks for your help!
