Hi there,
I've added a password protected section to one of my sites but I did it by using the "password protect directories" section of cpanel.
The site's owner has requested that I put in a log out system. I guess this means creating a button that erases the cookie that was set by the server.

Anyone know how to do this?

The cookie in question is called "loginkey" and has an alphanumeric hash as the content. But each directory that I log into creates a cookie called "loginkey" so how do I erase the cookie for that specific directory and not just any cookie called "loginkey"?

If erasing cookies is the wrong approach please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

I think the last sentence in the section titled, "How do I log out?" at http://httpd.apache.org/docs/1.3/howto/auth.html#logout answers it pretty well.

Well, it seems that the site's owner doesn't like the password protect directory system. They'd rather a real login/logout system.
Can anyone recommend that? Does Coffee Cup's password protect wizard accomplish this?
