I just finished my site using Page Mason.

I want to add my company name to the top of the browser.  Instead of "Home - Mozilla Firefox", I want it to change to "Company name - home - Mozilla Firefox"

What is the html code to do that?

Also meta tag is for search engine to find my site.  Should I add it to every page?

Thanks.

In the HTML code itself, look for

<title>Home </title>

and change it to

<title>Company name - home </title>

I'm sure that Page Mason, like most site editors, has some way to set the title to be used.

Regarding the meta tags, you can certainly add your own <meta> tags for keywords, description, and other things. Page Mason may or may not be helpful in doing that (I'm not familiar with it). Be advised that most major search engines pretty much ignore <meta> tags, due to past abuse by page authors trying to artificially inflate their page rankings. If it's a lot of extra effort to add these tags, the results may not justify the effort. You're probably better off putting your effort into writing good content, with lots of descriptive words and phrases in your text, headings, titles, etc.

I tried that in Page Mason.  As soon as I save it, it took out company name, only left with <title></title>.

Is there anyway around it?

Someone familiar with Page Mason will have to answer your question. I don't use any page editors myself, and write directly in HTML and PHP for maximum control and flexibility.

Let me answer myself.

I asked a business associate (he knows more about this) to help me out.

The way around it is:
go to the page you want to change.
right click to view source
copy and paste to notepad
add in Company Name between <title> </title>
save as the same name.html
go to your ftp
replace with newly saved file

That is it.
