Hi, this morning, I downloaded an automatic upgrade plugin for wordpress.  (I don’t like doing it by hand, and moving the files one by one.)  The upgrade went fine, (with no errors, anyway.)  That is, until I decided to try and log back in.  I tried to use the old password, but it wouldn’t let me, (I didn’t see that it gave me a knew one anywhere.)  So, I clicked the lost password link, and entered my email address.  It didn’t send me the password, (just like it doesn’t send me comment notifications.)  I tried going into the database and changing it, but it wouldn’t work.  Is there a way to fix this without reinstalling?  This happened once when I did it by hand too, so I don’t think it’s the plugin, (I had to reinstall that time.)  Thanks!!

I did try to change the password in my database through PHP my admin earlier, it didn't work.  I've also tried the lost password function, but again, it didn't send the new password.  Since I can't login, I can't get to the profile, where it says to go to change the password in earlier versions.

Hmm very weird, might double check and make sure you did the password work with this:

and not just typing in the password.  Double check and make sure you followed all the correct steps.  Might also try posting over at the WordPress.org forums and see if anybody else is having this type of problem with that plugin.
