I read on the main page of lunarpages.com that using the coupon "springs" will make it so you only have to pay 4.95 a month, rather than the 6.95 I am paying now.
Can I somehow use the coupon on my current hosting, and only pay 4.95 a month? That would be such a great help if I could do this.
Please don't hesitate to leave a reply, Matt

This forum is for users to help other users and not for official support. Please open a ticket with billing@lunarpages.com. They can best answer this.

I thought I saw some place one of the moderators saying that it was only for new signups, but I can't find the posting right now. If it is, once again* LP has botched their ad campaign by failing to make it clear that this is for new accounts only. It would be nice if someone with brains would review all their promotional material to keep these snafus from happening again and again. LP keeps coming off looking very amateurish.
* A year or two ago there was a promotion listed as "good through (or until) January 1, 200x", when it really meant "through end of business December 31". This caused people to delay signing up until New Years Day (so their business expense would be on the new year's taxes rather than the previous year's), only to find out the offer was expired. As I recall, there were a bunch of unhappy campers.

Well they replied to my support ticket, and here's what they said: We can assist you with this. Before we can make any changes to the account, For security purposes to confirm you are the account holder, please provide the following So, yes, it is possible . Hopefully no strings attached.

Please let us know if you succeed and under what conditions the offer is good. I'm sure there are a lot of us who'd be happy to drop our payments to $4.95 a month. Or is that 4.95 pounds sterling?

I believe they wanted your account information first so they can discuss matters concerning your account. It's normal procedure. As far as I know, I believe the offer is for new customers only. I'm not 100% sure though. Good luck anyhow!

Hey Mitch, that sounds great! This is for a regular Basic account -- no new restrictions at the lower price?
For my existing account, if I sign up for 24 more months (I've been meaning to change from 12 to 24 month plan anyway), I can get a price of $4.95 a month instead of $6.95? The reduced price starts at the end of my current 12 month plan? Is 24 months the furthest out LP will go?
I may be able to tempt some friends into signing up for their own sites at this price. Can they still use the "spring" (not "springs") coupon code if they come in through my affiliate link?

Yes, as an example lets say you are hosting here with a current Basic hosting account. All you need to do is contact billing@lunarpages.com and tell them you would like to extend your hosting contact by 24 months using the spring coupon offer - they will take care of the rest from there. Then you will get 24 more months added to your hosting account here at the lower price point - not catches there, I promise. Not sure if the spring coupon can be used with the affiliates, might drop an e-mail to affilate@lunarpages.com. They'd be able to give you a definite thumbs up or thumbs down.

I emailed affiliate@lunarpages.com (note the spelling, Mitch!) and Tiara in support responded with: Actually yes, everyone is allowed to use the Spring promo and still receive full affiliate credit for the sale. So I'm going to go ahead and get my own account extended and see if I can persuade some friends to finally sign up for an account! They've been sitting on the fence, concerned about the cost.
