http://www.azam.biz was pointing to http://www.nazam.com/biz without a problem for years.

I haven't touched a thing, yet it is going to http://www.nazam.com all of a sudden. This is stopping http://www.azam.biz and all the many internal pages from working.

I tried to correct the redirection of this parked domain name in the cpanel myself, but can't see a way of doing it.

Can you therefore please set http://www.azam.biz to point to http://www.nazam.com/biz as it was doing so previously.

I have tried contacting support, but the only response I got was "I was unable to locate any information that shows this redirect. How did you have it set to redirect before?"

Thank you.

Is azam.biz an "add-on" domain, with the "primary" domain nazam.com? If so, and you had set up the add-on so that nazam.com/biz (public_html/biz/) was the target, there was no explicit redirection -- just a normal add-on. If it's not working now, that means there is some problem with LP's internal nameservers, which only support can fix. By the way, it's possible in your .htaccess file to make the add-on show up as "www.azam.biz" instead of "www.nazam.com/biz/".

Do not use cPanel's "redirection" feature on subdomains or add-on domains. It doesn't work. You have to manually edit your .htaccess file to do redirection involving subdomains and add-ons.

Please tell us what your primary domain is, what the add-on domain(s) are, and what you have in your .htaccess file (with any sensitive information removed). Also, what are the directory names used by your add-on and subdomains?

Thanks for your help.

The primary domain is: http://www.nazam.com

Add add-on domain name is: http://www.azam.biz

The add-on domain name should go to: http://www.nazam.com/biz

It's a very simple request.

All the .htaccess in the root folder has is the following:

Code:

# BEGIN 301 REDIRECT OF NON WWW TO WWW

Options +FollowSymlinks
RewriteEngine on
rewritecond %{http_host} ^nazam.com [nc]
rewriterule ^(.*)$ http://www.nazam.com/$1 [r=301,nc]

# END 301 REDIRECT

RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} ^http://www.iaea.org$

AddHandler server-parsed .html .htm

ErrorDocument 404 /e404director.php

I haven't touched a thing with this webhosting account and it's disappointing that my website, which has been up for several years, is not working all of a sudden.

Looking in your account, it appears your addon domain isn't showing up via cPanel > Addon Domains.  Is this how you set it up before or was it via your .htaccess file?  Before you start messing with your .htaccess file, I would recommend contacting support@lunarpages.com so they can confirm any errors with the redirection if they still exist.

I did not set it up - LP did.

Now it's working fine. I haven't touched a thing, so somebody at LP must have fixed the problem. It's frustrating that the configuration was changed without my permission and I have had to waste all this time to get it resolved.

Thanks.
