Hi. Yesterday I got an email from Lunarpages support that an ecommerce site I webmaster for was going to be moved from Limu to a different server. The migration happened in the wee hours of the morning. Late this morning I got several frantic emails from the site owner that "The site is down!" I took a look and quickly saw the issue...the site's home page is index.php, but the directory on the new server it was moved to already contained a file named index.html (which then trumped index.php). Index.html is one of those "Hi, welcome to Lunarpages" things that new accounts get. So going forward, before migrating a site Lunarpages might want to make sure that the destination directory is empty first. As it is my client was effectively offline for 8 hours so he's not a happy bunny. Had I been on vacation or something it could have been much worse.

Thanks for your thoughts on this issue.  You might also send your thoughts over to feedback@lunarpages.com so that the LP officials can look over your thoughts too.
