Hi

I received an e-mail that said the server I am on is being moved, and I have to change all the DNS settings for the domains I'm hosting on it. This has never happened to me before, and I received no prior notification. Is this happening to other accounts to?

LP has been moving servers to San Diego, for awhile now.

Thanks. Any info about why this is happening?

Do I need to back-up anything?

If my account was getting moved, I would backup my site just incase something happens. But no, you shouldn't need to back your site up, your site will just be down for 4-6hours.

Really? My server was moved a couple of months ago, and I didn't have to do anything except enjoy the ride. No DNS changes. This was a shared server -- is yours dedicated or VPS?

Shared. It looks like the move went well -- assuming that it's all done now. I just had to change the DNS and that's it.
