I have searched and keep getting other results that arent quite what I need.  Sorry if this has been asked before.

I installed wordpress for an add-on domain.  After doing a lot of theme changes and updates to my site, I decided to get a new domain for the site.  So I regged it, directed it to LP, and installed wordpress in the new directory.  The obvious question is how do I transfer over my changes, etc. to the new directory.  I tried just renaming the old one, but it didn't work.

I have since deleted the new installation and got everything back to how it was.  Now I need to find out how to install wordpress in the new directory while keeping all the changes I made in the old one.

Anyone???

So is the new domain you registered added in your cpanel as an addon or you just have the url forwarded?

I'm not too familiar with Wordpress but my guess is that if your new domain is in LP cpanel, you can just edit your php file to connect to the local mysql database that the wordpress is using.

I remember one time that I wanted to move one of my database from one server to the other on LP cause I have two hosting account. What I had to do was backup the mysql database and restored it on the other server. After that I had to make a few changes with regards to database login stuff.
