We own a dedicated server on Lunar Pages, and want to monitor the bandwidth usage on our server. We have looked at the Bandwidth Monitoring under Webmin -> Networking, but that is showing reports of only 2 days, which are incomplete as well. Also, the Logwatch reports don't have any information about bandwidth usage.

Thanks, Sharad

Hi Sharad,

Webmin uses unreliable method of bandwidth accounting and usually fails to monitor even small amounts of traffic. I don't recommend to use it. Please take a look on other sollutions to monitor the bandwith usage. For example, you can do that using iptables.

I hope this helps.

I have good news for you. All dedicated customers now have live bandwidth graphs via their CAP.  Please try this and let us know how it is.

Have a good one!

The CAP is the Customer Account Page, which can be found at https://account.lunarpages.com

That's funny. I never heard of this before. I guess I just overlooked it? Thanks.

I don't see any bandwidth monitoring page on my CAP... What should be the path to it?

Are you on a dedicated plan? The link to the bandwith stats is available from the front page in the CAP for dedicated plans.

I hope this helps.

Ah sorry, I'm on a VPS plan. I'll head over to the correct forum. Sorry about that.
