How can i change the ftp password on my server with webmin?

Hi Aiko,

If you don't have virtual FTP users (which you more than likely don't), you would just change the password of the system user for that username.

Should i change the password for the username i use to connect via FTP or the username "ftp"?

How can i create a Pre-encrypted password to change it?

Hi,

You need to change the password for the user you connect by FTP as. I would recommend to allow Webmin and OS to create the encrypted password and do not do that yourself. If you input the pass in clear text, it gets stored as encrypted hash. It is not necessary to take care of encrypting it.
