I am personally not impressed. Mainly because the flash intro took way too long then I still had to click a tiny winy enter button, then it took even longer for that flash to load as does all the rest of the pages. I was ready to leave long before the first flash intro was finished. The portfolio looks ok, the webdesign work is fine, just this site is way too slow to keep anyone interested for very long. And I have a very fast connection too. Sorry. Amy, we love you just the way you are, dont try and change anything RAT

I'm with RAT on this i'm afraid. The portfolio itself looks great. But before you ever got to that you would lose interest. On top of the inherent problems with flash and slow load times over a fast connection, there doesn't seem to be any real content about the company and no real contact info. I actually thought the contact page wasn't finished until I realized there are invisible fields you are suppose to know are there that you can type in.
I'd actually expect that the website of a web design company should be a showcase of good web design and what the company can do beyond a simple flash slideshow. Though to be honest, I've seen a lot of such companies that I'd never hire if their work looked like their website. A case of the painters home is always last to be painted?

I thought it was interesting that if you tried to submit the form without filling in the invisible fields the field label quivered instead of giving you a message that you needed to complete the field.

I'm using a fairly speedy (Your download speed : 4815 kbps or 601.9 KB/sec.- per dsl reports) connection, and the site take quite a bit of time to load for me. I cannot even imagine trying to view it on a dialup connection.

Actually I like the overall cool look of the thing and it loaded very quickly for me. But I think it is a boutique company that specializes in small to extra small fonts...... Cool look, text virtually unreadable.

My connection is cable and the site opened very quickly for me: 2-3 seconds.
I think the movement with the mouse is distracting and everything's a little too small but I'm on 1280 x 1024 so I guess its my choice.

well yes, i can see the loading times being a bit much, but they shouldn't be too bad. i'm on cable (currently 6400kbps) and the site takes only seconds to download.
i enjoyed the post about specializing in small to extra small fonts, that was pretty funny. but there pixel fonts (8pt you know...)
i guess i am am sort of an elitist when it comes to design. i finished this a couple of years ago and it's meant to be sort of, well, a boutique site.
i am currently a web designer full time as well as working on other projects in my spare time, so i'm basically inundated. i don't push the site or make it really forward as far as "hey i'm a web designer and i want your business, look how appealing my site is and easy to get around and understand" because i've got more work then i really want at this point. the site is supposed to be subtle, and if perhaps hard to read or not particularly easy to figure out then so be it at this point. i was pretty happy with getting the sounds to fade in and out into each other with each section change.
i do really appreciate being nominated by amy and all the feedback, and oh yes, i do really enjoy lunarpages as my host. i'm currently finishing up a client project that i've put on lunar pages that is much more accessible. thanks again.

I had no problem with the load time, but it just didn't grab me. I think I'm becoming more and more cynical as time goes on so it takes a lot to really impress me. Others have noted some of the "issues" that I noticed (like the invisible fields on the contact form). It is a nice concept and site overall, just not something that I get excited over

Is it a website for ants? Just kidding its not that small, but I have to admit it was like the links were trying to hide being so light on such a light background and so small. The designer definitely has the skills to pay the bills judging by the other sites in the portfolio, but his own site doesn't compare to those.

Nice but presentation is a little slow. Clicking from one section to the next is a bit frustrating with all this waiting for the next page to load business. Overall a nice idea but needs more work on the execution to be really effective. Whoever designed it though probably has a clear idea in their mind what they want to convey to us, the visitors. Just spend a bit more time refining it, adjusting it and fixing the bugs here and there. You're almost there.
