I took a look at Dolphin, tried it - it's a well rounded, multipurpose script. It looks good and has a fine ACP.
But the hype about it being OpenSource is like those "Rich Dad - Poor Dad" books which promise to reveal some untold wisdom that will set you for life, but instead seduce you into buying more "get-rich" books and CD-ROMs
The licensing structure is confusing and the advertising is a turn-off. Also, in NEVER installs properly on first try. Maybe if you shell-out the full cost it will install right on the first try, but I doubt it. There is a scheme behind it to get you frustrated enough to run to Boonex with money in hand.
Other than that, it's decent enough fixer-upper and if you can spend a month or two getting the kinks out of it, it seems like a fine script.
That's why I wanted to find out what others are using and if they can recommend something else. Something better or more friendly.
P.S - I've also tried Community Builder and it has many possibilities, but all CB's look the same and that's a problem.
