Hi there,

I've converted my Access mdb file with Access2MySQL and I've got SQL files on my HDD...
Now where to put these files ?
How to connect to the Lunarpages' SQLServer ?

Is it possible to generate these files directly in SQLServer, if so what to put in the host and socket number in Access2MySQL ?

Confused here, any help ?
Thx.

There is a section in the Control Panel, where you can backup, and load backups of SQL databases, I think that would be the place you want.

Alternatively, you can probably do what you want through phpmyadmin (also in CPanel)

Thanks 4 the reply Stephan,

The Backup section didn't help me...

For the phpmyadmin, I tried to create my db with that and did it, but no success in connecting!
Error: Table mydb:mytable doesn't exist!!
I downloaded the phpmyadim from one site and put it in one directory in my site and created my db with it... it worked!!!  "[freak]"

Now, I don't know where is my db files.
I got the complete backup of my site but didn't find my tables in it.

Well, long story, but I'm thinking about leaving the Lunarpages.

Many many troubles with this hosting (email and ftp accounts, Chili!ASP and...)

Thanks anyway  "[Smile]"

If you e-mail support@lunarpages.com , I'm sure they will be able to sort something out for you.

The last thing we want is people leaving/dissatisfied customers.

If you e-mail support, your problem will be solved.

Perhaps you can have a look at the SQL files and see what is inside them.

Do they end in .sql ?

Perhaps they need to be executed, and contain a list of commands that will create tables. If so, then phpmyadmin will be fine.

Good luck. Let us know how you get on  "[mad]"    "[eek]"    "[frown]"  /   "[Smile]"    "[Big    "[Razz]"    "[Cool]"

I will need to back up my database, including the tables, sometime this week, as nuke is coming out with a new release.

I've never done this before. Could someone explain to me, in a step by step method, how to accomplish this, and how I would restore the database, along with the tables, should the upgrade corrupt, delete... ect, it?
Thanks

Login to your CPanel

Click on "Access Menu"

Click on "Download/Upload backup file"

There, you should find links to:

Download today's backup (of the site)

and download/restore your SQL databases.
