I am having problems connecting to a mysql database on my website using the FP2000 wizard. Anyone having any knpwledge in this area, your help would be much appreciated. This is what I have been trying thus far:
Using options for saving results to a database and thus Database Connections Properties in the name box I have put the name of my database and chosen Network Connection to a Database Server (radio button). Then clicked on Advanced button and put in my username and password then click OK, then clicked on the Browse button which brings up yet another box "Network Database Connection", which has three boxes to complete. In the first box I have a choice between SQL Server and Microsoft ODBC for Oracle. I have chosen SQL Server. In the second box "Server Name", I have put a variety of things including my web site URL, localhost, my username, the text name for one of my host's servers and my database username. In the third box "Database Name", I have put the my database name. Nothing seems to work. The only thing I haven't tried is the put the Remote Computer name i.e. 85.101.65.01.
I have put my Remote Computer Name in the host connection box on the Database manager. What am I doing wrong?

Try copying the information from the mySQL page in your CPanel.

You will get the username, password, host and all details you need on that page.

Thanks for replying, Stephan. I have tried that but it does not seem to fit in with FP2000's wizard and refuses to connect. I was just trying to figure out or get help with the cause. I know I'm missing something but just don't know what yet. I just get the error message back saying it might be a different language  "[confused]"
