Hello,
the installation of a new script is requiring :
1.  Php 5x
2.  PEAR
3.  Curl installed
4.  Php Zip extension

For point 1.  I know that if don't want to enable PHP 5 in Cpanel,  I need to add a .htaccess file in the folder hosting the script.  What should the .htaccess file be including to get PHP 5 running in that folder?

2. Do LP server come with PEAR?  If this is not the case, how can I add it?

3. and 4.  Are Curl and PHP Zip extensions installed on  LP servers?

Thanks

1. "Enabling" PHP 5 in cPanel simply adds a line or two to .htaccess. Use that method. You can always comment out the line(s) and uncomment them as you need to move between PHP 4 and 5. Hopefully one of these days LP will get on the ball and make PHP 5 the default, with explicit switch to PHP 4 if you need that level.

2,3,4. You'll have to ask support if your server has these (most have PEAR and cURL, as far as I know, but I don't know about "Zip". You don't mean "Zend", do you?). If your server doesn't have these, support may be willing to install them (for everyone's use), or they'll move you to another server that does have them.

Use the cPanel "enable PHP 5" to see what it adds. That will be the proper magical incantation to use (which may vary from server to server). AFAIK there is nothing else done anywhere when you enable PHP 5, so just use the cPanel button.
