Could someone go over how to restore a database.  I have made a backup of my mysql database and now when i try to restore it i get the error:
Sorry, you have exceeded the maximum allowed databases. at bin/mysqladmin.pl line 151.

I know I am only allowed one database so i dropped the one already there and tried to restore without any databse and i still couldn't.  what do i need to do to restore a database?

Sounds like the current database is not completely dropped. Make sure it is deleted.
