I've got a (hopefully) easy question about using SQL databases.  I'm running two programs that use SQL, and I want them to have the same user_id/password/email lists - for example, phpBB and phpMyChat.  (I know that phpBB has a mod in development for this integration.  This is more of an example than specific instance.)  The userbase for both of these applications would be small (50 or so users).  Is it possible to use the same database for both applications, or is that a bad idea?

Thanks for any help.  I'm extremely new to databases.

You should really wait until their modification comes out.

If you use 1 database for both programs, it probably wouldn't work.
