"Add-On Domain available" and the "3 Parked D

Can anyone explain the meaning of the "Add-On Domain available" and the "3 Parked Domains" features on ther web hosting plans.    I am confused of what they might mean.

Thanks

http://www.jokeawhenever.com/tutorials/domains.html Is a little tutorial that explains how they work.

But basically, Add-on Domain, means that you can host multiple sites from your account for a small fee extra ($2.50).

"3 parked domains" means that you can add (for free) up to 3 parked domains (different domains, all the same content. Take a look at that link, it explains fairly well how it all works.

Hi!

The above explanation of Kata was very clear and useful for me too. Would the following structure be possible? (Assume that all domain names are already registered and working elsewhere.)

- One account A and domain, say A.com,  for $7.95

- One add-on domain, say B.net, for $2.50, containing completely different contents than A.com. Or will the contents of B be in a subdirectory of A so that e.g. Google notes the real path being A.com/B/file.html instead of B.net/file.html?

- Three parked domains, say C.net, D.net and E.net, for free, pointing to a subdirectory, say A.com/subdir.  Or is it required that the parked domains point to the top level of A.com or B.net???

Many thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Timo

Parked Domains Point to the main public_html directory. I'm not sure if its possible to have parked domains pointing to add-on domains (support is the one to ask about that).

For Add-on domains you are the only one who knows that it is an addon domain. It will appear as http://b.net/ to the search engine. The search engine only sees what you can see.. but in a text only format.
If you think about it, since the hosting is shared hosting, every account on the server is similar to an add-on domain.

I'm glad you found that tutorial helpful,
