Confused about which email accounts to use for what

I'm about to buy some domain names elsewhere and host them here using your Basic Hosting package.  I have no experience of setting up a website as yet.  I've been reading your Wiki guides but am confused about the basics around the emails I will have to set up, where I will access them from, and how to fit them in to what I already use.

 Currently I have a longstanding personal non-google email which is my main email account at a medical online site in the UK  where I have all my links (Paypal, bank, newsletters, personal, professional etc) which I use all day everyday.    I also have a google personal email account for youtube subscriptions, larger attachments, and emails I don't want to put on that medical semi-professional email account.

I recently set up a new  new google one to separate my proposed 'business' emails from my private google email and to get a new youtube account username related to my real name because my first google account didn't do that..  I understand I must keep my billing email account separate from my domain accounts so i will probably use my usual non-google account for that.

But....I cannot work out or visualise how and where it is most practical (or possible) to 'run' my proposed domains from:

Question: when I buy the Basic Hosting, is everything related to all of my domains accessed and totally run from within lunarpages, including all the email accounts for each domain?  Or do I 'run' the domains from outside lunarpages on/from one of my google email accounts?

I know I will learn all about this once I buy the hosting package, but I want to know about this before I buy the package so my initial setup of my Hosting account is correct when I buy it, and not have to try and change it later when i find out I didn't do it right.

You are not obligated to use any email accounts with your LP account. You are free to use other email accounts (gmail, etc.) for your purposes. It's apparently possible, but non-trivial, to have email sent to <myaccount>@<myLPsite.com> stay with external email systems. Don't ask me the specifics because I don't know how to do it.

You can specify two email accounts for LP to contact you about billing, trouble tickets, etc. It's a good idea to have one of them completely external to LP, so in the case that your account is down (suspended, billing troubles, crashed, etc.) you can still be reached. The other can be on your LP site. One way or the other you should still be able to be contacted by LP regarding your account.

Thanks MrPhil, I can now see what was confusing me before - not paying attention to the sender's email addresses of emails sent to me.  Now I think I seeee the light - well this light anyway.  Thanks.
