Multiple Domains (confused)
« on: April 27, 2003, 05:20:50 PM »
Ok,  I have read every post on multiple domains and I don't think this question has been answered.

If I have 3 domains:

www.weba.com (primary domain)
www.webb.com (add-on)
www.webc.com (add-on)

and I pay $2.50 for each of the add-ons to be hosted on the same account, if someone goes to www.webb.com or webc.com, do they see that address (www.webb.com/blah.htm) in the address bar for all subpages of that domain or do they see something else (www.weba.com/blah.htm) or (webb.weba.com/blah.htm)

also will I recieve mail at all three domains or will it only come to one domain.  Do they each have seperate pop3 and smtp then? (mail.weba.com, mail.webb.com and so on?)

Your asking two of the questions that nobody ever seems to give a comprehensive (or maybe just fully understandable) answer to.
Lets see if WE get an answer this time without being refered to the FAQ's that dont really answer it   :?
Yours has probably been the most succinctly put.. so far
We usually get yes. you get webb.weba.com mail. but thats not what you or many of us want :!:  :!:
We want webb.com mail dont we :D
And does that work if webb is set up as a folder of weba.com or does it need to be set up differently ? ( extra question from me.. but related to the above  :P

Come on guys.. Do we get that with add-ons :?:  :?: .. and if so .. how  :?:  :?:

As I'm always saying.. (But nobody listens)

I will give an answer to this question!

If someone goes to www.webb.com or webc.com they see www.webb.com or webc.com in their browser.

The visitor to the website shouldn't know that they are actually on an addon domain.

You can create e-mail addresses on all of your domains.

Each domain will have a mail. subdomain, e.g. mail.webc.com

You could also use servername.lunarpagse.com , e.g. galaxy.lunarpages.com

Should work. That is the answer, to the best of my knowledge...

If you used a PARKED domain then the answer stephan said is corrected.

The add-on domain is diferent, because will point to specific sub-domain of your main domain, and if you use this option you can't have sub-domain of the respective add-on domain. (can someone explain me why its impossible?!) :(

I hope that everyone understand, this information was given by the excelent support service of lunarpages.

Best regards,
