For the shuttle plan, under key features it says "MySQL Database"

do you really only let people have one database? or can you have multiple?

Sorry, but LunarPages only gives its Shuttle customers 1 MySQL db; add-on databases will cost you. Each additional database is $1.00/month.

Shuttle Plans come with 1 MySQL database included with up to an addition 4 available at $1.00 per month, per database.  The voyager plan comes with 5 MySQL databases included with up to an additional 10 available at $1.00 per month, per database.

If your resourceful with the search features on these forums, you will find a few tutorials that have been written up about how to make different programs share the one DB.

I only use one db and probably will never need more. Just curious, though, why only 4?

An empty database won't take much in the way of resources... However, once you start putting data into them and accessing them, it is another matter.

It has been know for a poorly organised database accessed by a poorly written script to bring a server to it's knees in a puddle of tears and loose electrons.

Of course you have to bear in mind the other aspects of the account, if you have 4 extra databases, and you're using them, you should be pushing the 20GB bandwidth limit, and so when you consider that you can get 4 databases, and 3 GB of bandwidth or an upgrade to the voyager account for about the same price, it becomes a question of finance and what gets you more for your hard earned dollars.  :thumb:
