Subdomains

Kind Sirs,

I'm reading on the CPanel demo, in the section regarding subdomains:

"Note: This feature must be enabled manually on your account. Please contact support if you paid for it and it is not enabled. If you are receiving errors about the subdomain not resolving to a valid ip address, subdomains are not enabled on your account. Also, if you would like this feature to use a different ip then the main domain, please have your sysadmin add an A entry subdomainip.onlinedemo.lunarpages.com with the ip you wish to use for all future subdomains."

Please, could you confirm to me if in the Standard Plan I'll get 15 subdomains and if I can address these subdomains to folders inside my website hosted on LunarPages?

Many thanks, Vince

Vince,

Yes with the standard plan you do get 15 subdomains as stated. The reason the manual says they have to be enabled manually is because say other ISPs only offer 10, it's a dynamic number, and once you hit 15, we would have to enable manually any more you would like (note, there is a cost involved.)

I hope this answered your question :)

Thanks for answering Nick,

and please apologies my ignorance: can I can address these subdomains to folders inside my website hosted on LunarPages or only to IP addresses?

Thanks, Vince

When you make a subdomain, a folder is automatically created in your root directory that shares the same name.
