I am using PHP with MySQL. My site is a web application which will create a database for each user. Each database may have up to 25 tables. The application uses one main database with 75+ stored procedures. A few of the stored procedures are pretty complex and has many SELECT statements. I heard that stored procedures are cpu intensive. I use very little PHP. Also, the application can potentially send out 10 to 1,000 emails per hour. Is the VPS plan right for me or would I be okay with the Business Hosting (I need SSL as well). What's going to happen when I get up to 1,000 databases? How would I move from Business Hosting to VPS to Dedicated? Which plan would you recommend? Thanks...

I would suggest starting out with one of the VPS hosting solutions.  If you are already worried about server resources, this would be your best bet for a middle ground-type hosting platform that still has a lot of the friendliness of shared hosting, with some of the more advanced limitations of a dedicated hosting plan.  Might also e-mail in all your requirements to sales@lunarpages.com and allow our sales team to look over your needs to see which hosting plan would be best for you.

Please come back and let us know how it goes!

I agree with Mitch. VPS hosting is good. It would really help you specially for heavily trafficked websites and also has cost effective shared hosting. The price is pretty costly, but I think you would really benefit on VPS.
I'm interested in this topic and would like to know how this go. Please do come back and let us know the results.

Cheers!  Very Happy
