As this will be very important to me, I need to know if all the shared hosting servers do support APC (Alternative PHP Cache) for its caching engine? I read from some threads that LP doesn't support APC due to conflicting with suPHP. Is this true? If true, what's the advantage of using suPHP compared with APC?

FYI: APC can boost web sites much faster (200%-400%) than any other cache engine (eAccelerator, memcache, Zend Accelerator, etc).

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Me.

Sorry for the delay. No, I am afraid we do not use this on our shared hosting servers.

is this still the case?   (looks like an old question)

Does Lunarpages offer memcache on the shared ip address?   how about a dedicated server?   how about any program?  Smile

Thanks,

Paul

Yes, this would still be the case for the shared hosting servers.  Not 100% sure about the dedicated servers though.  I would suggest hitting up one of our sales team members at sales@lunarpages.com to see if they can look into that for you.
