Hi,
i currently have my own piczo site which i am thinking of cancelling and getting either the basic or starter plan via lunar pages.

I dont know how to code html and stuff like that, the current piczo host i use is extremely easy to use but seems like it is dedicated to young kids these days.

I would add photos, youtube vids and stuff like that to the site and could possibly stretch to a forum page.

ANy help would be much appreciated.

Have you checked out the Quicksite hosting plan?

Quicksite Hosting at Lunarpages

It probably as the easiest learning curve for somebody who is new to the whole web hosting or starting a web site experience, and also comes packed with tons of features, such as shopping carts, photo gallery tools and even a built in blog.  You can check out more features of this hosting plan here:

http://wiki.lunarpages.com/Category:LPQuicksite

You could get something similar setup with the Starter or Basic hosting plans too, if you need more flexibility.

I suggest taking a look at wordpress. I don't know much about all that jazzy code or anything either, but there are some free tutorials floating around out there.

are the templates flexible though,i mean if i pick a template do i have to stick with that one forever?
or can i change it at will.

As i said in my original post i dont know how to code html and i have a very basic knowledge of how to add stuff to my site as my current piczo host is SO easy!

The thing with the piczo site is ,it is a basic template and not very flexible , but very easy to use.

I could really do with something like that i think.

With Wordpress you can change/swap out templates whenever you want to. You basically go into your admin interface and add/activate templates from there. Once thing to be watchful of though is if you are using any plug-ins, make sure that the template you are switching to supports those plug-ins.

What is wordpress?

I very nearly signed up for the quicksite option today.

If the quicksite option is not for me then can i switch to a different host package?

You could try the Quicksite hosting plan, and if it wasn't working out then move over to any of the other hosting options, only needing to pay the differences between them, as needed.  Thumbs Up

Ok so i finally found a template that i like and started to add stuff to my new site, are the templates rigid?

why cant i move my menu to where i want it to,instead of having things i added to the menu horizontal,i would prefer to have it vertical. Confused

Templates are set as is. If you want something different such as the menu style, then you must choose a template with a menu style you like.
