Hello, I'm sure you all have heard of the recent release of .co domains. I manage to get a good hosting domain so I thought of developing it.
While trying to find my own host I've found many hurdles and spent weeks researching to find quality hosts I know I can trust. This is what this site is for. To share the findings I found and more. Recommending quality host with great support and user team like Lunar Host.
When searching I came across Lunar Host. Didn't go with host my sites with them though. There was quite a few good things about them as well as very reasonable pricing. I'm considering posting it on to my new site as a suggestion for good host. But I need some honest reviews from LunarPage users.
Do you know where I can find these unsolicited reviews. I already know one source but I'm looking for more to compile as many honest unsolicited reviews as I can in one area for my suggestions....good or bad reviews as long as they are true and honest goes on the page even if I'm suggesting it.
Want to make it a one stop honest review and hosting information FAQ. I currently get about 10+ unique visitors/day but I intend to start picking it up with SEO and general marketing.

Lunarpages is not worth it. I'd go with someone else.

I've been with LP for 5, maybe 6, years now. I've had a few issues, and they've managed to get resolved within 48 hours...the lag was mainly due to my work schedule, and my delay in responding sooner.
There may be cheaper hosts out there (I really don't know, as I haven't looked), but I'm quite happy with LP, and have no plans whatsoever in changing hosts.

I'm not going to vote and "skew" the poll but I have the unique opportunity to speak as both a customer and employee. I've had multiple sites hosted here since at least 2002 and have been an employee about 1/2 that long. I have always paid the same rates for those accounts as any other user and submit support tickets through the same process (and have to wait like others depending on my issue). The support I received early on in my webbuilding career was a big factor in my seeking out a job here. That said I doubt you will find many positive reviews on any host as most people don't take the time to post how good a certain host might be, they just take it as a given and go about doing whatever it is they do in life. Read the reviews you find, ask around and make an informed decision.

I agree with Shenling. I've been a satisfied customer for 3 or 4 years now with two sites hosted here. The only knocks I can honestly come up with are that they have temporarily blacklisted some IPs without having a method to make notifications about it. I don't begrudge them doing this but I think I should be aware of who doesn't have access to my site when access is denied. I'd also like to see some improvements to the LP Control Panel that comes with new accounts. Specifically, something like cPanel's Latest Visitors panel which I use to see what's going on with 404 errors.

I see I'm a bit late to this topic. While I'm not a "power user" here at LP, I will say I'd have very good service here. I remember there being some down times a few years ago due to a power failure that out of there control, but stuff happens. No matter where you go you're bound to have SOME issues. Nobody's perfect. I wouldn't read TOO much into the negative feedback, as people tend to post when they have issues rather when things are simply going just fine.
So as a customer of LP for nearly 7 years, I would give them a 5/5 with leeway for those minor inconveniences I've experienced.

I have been with LP quite a few years. I almost never need support as the forums have many knowledgeable people who post help for most of the trouble I get myself into. However in the last couple of months, I have needed support and they have been super. Fast. Knowledgeable. Took care of issues.
I feel very comfortable with them. I'm not planning to switch.
I have had the IP banning thing just recently - seems that some pretty stringent rules about how often you can attempt a password has been the issue triggering those that I know about.

I have been here a long time, first with my main website that got so big I had to go dedicated and the last number of years with my business website.
I've had a few challenges with lunar but nothing that would not have happened with another host. In the end I have had reliable service and as promised my website virtually never goes down. My server has been rock solid and that end of it has been spectacular.
Every time I need support my issues get resolved in a quick and efficient manner.
The only thing you need to do is include your full name, address, and last four digits of your credit card number when you open a support ticket. If you don't do that you will usually get a delay because that seems to be the first response from the help desk. Include that information and your ticket will get resolved pretty quickly.
That leads me to another peeve of mine..... is the help desk system not secure? Must I not log on to open a ticket? I think this should be enough verification as to who I am. Now Lunar will probably say they are doing all this for my protection, but it seems a bit excessive to me, maybe they should verify the account password or issue some kind of security PIN for verification. But basically all the verification questions should be default fields in the support ticket so the technician does not have to request it from the client. Sometimes this request can cause quite a delay and when every minute counts this is not the best system.
So like I said, I get around it by including all verification information in my ticket but it could be handled more efficiently by Lunar just by making it a requirement when first opening the ticket.

PS. THE POLL HAS LONG SINCE BEEN CLOSED SO I WAS NOT ABLE TO HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. KEEP THIS IN MIND WHEN LOOKING AT THE RESULTS, A LOT OF US ARE QUITE HAPPY AND WE DID NOT GET TO SHARE OUR VOTE.

Like MichaelT I was actually hosting my website with LP long before I started working support.
Went with LP after trying out about 7 different hosts (most of the biggies) and found a lot of them would either not provide support with some issues.
I have had nearly every plan currently offered at one point or another from simple basic to VPS to Dedicated, and found the hosting better then a lot of the other companies I had been dealing with, and that influenced my decision when I decided to look for a position in support.

Lunarpages awarded 2011 best Windows web hosting by Customer Hosting Reviews! Read why Lunarpages was awarded best Windows hosting by visiting the Lunarpages Best Windows Hosting awards page.
Lunarpages was founded in 1998 and initially provided free web hosting to everyone until they decided to go the route of offering a better quality web hosting package for a fee. Today, Lunarpages offers web hosting out of three datacenters in western USA and employs over 100 people and service over 160,000 customers worldwide. Lunarpages offers a plethora of web hosting solutions that should fit most people. The downside, they offer so much on their main page, many new customers may get turned off and become confused. Overall, Lunarpages offers a great service but may need a site redesign to refocus on what is important, simple and easy-to-use web hosting. Lunarpages is an unlimited web host that offers packages that feature unlimited disk space, bandwidth, hosted domains, and more.
