Is there a possibility to use my main domain account to receive mail from other of the domains that I own? To make things clear, I will explain it 'manually'   "[Big

I have three domains:

dom1.com
dom2.com
dom3.com

dom1.com is parked at Lunarpages.
dom2.com is parked elsewhere.
dom3.com is also parked elsewhere.

I would like to use the Lunarpages mail server to receive mail from dom2.com and dom3.com, but I don't want to park these domains (they are still at hosting plans that have to expire).

What I want to do is go to my domain registrar and change the mail server setting to the settings used by my first domain.

So if e-mail are written to the three addresses:

mike@dom1.com
mike@dom2.com
mike@dom3.com

they all come to my main account which is dom1.com

So this is a kind of 'mail parking' and not domain parking.

Is this possible?

I think it's possible.

What you need to do is set up an "MX" entry.

dom2.com and dom3.com are not using the lunarpages nameservers right?

You need to go to the company the domains are registered with, and ask them to set an MX entry in the DNS servers to point to whichever server you are on,

e.g. galaxy would be 64.235.234.165

You might be able to just put galaxy.lunarpages.com

Normally, the website and the e-mail of any domain are hosted on the same machine. MX records allow you to specify where you want your email to go to.

It should work...!

When the nameservers have updated, you will need to add the domains to Control Panel, I think it's in the parked domains section.

Although the domains will apparently have been parked with lunarpages, it will only work for e-mail.

Thanks a lot. I am relatively new to the DNS stuff and settings, so I really appreciate your information.

Thank you
