hello,

Maybe someone from support can answer this.

Been with LP for over three years now, thinking about migrating from shared to dedicated hosting. Speaking with someone from support a few days ago, I was quoted $60 per 30 mins to migrated the website to dedicated.  I was quoted that price because I currently have cPanel on my shared hosting and all the files of the website need to be moved across to lunarPanel which is what the dedicated server uses ( not paying an extra $35/month just to have cPanel)

As anyone had this experience where they had to migrate from shared to dedicated and from cpanel to lunarPanel and how much was the cost?  I was told that it really depends on the size of the website as to how long it will take to be migrated.

Could Lunarpages have a look at the files on my website and estimated how long it will take? I will have for them to tell me for example that it took 5hrs to migrate the website which them will cost me $600.00 just to migrate it.

just do it yourself or hire freelaner on like odesk.com or getafreelaner, 15 usd tops
archive RAR or ZIP through CPANEL entire root of your stuff
then fully export your MYSQL databases
and then move them to dedicated and unzip and import mysql db
should not be that difficult Thumbs Up
but outsourcing tedious tasks is the key, people from india or asia will love you Hug long time for any job, and you won't pay much for  it  hug me
