Folks:

I had spoken to Kelvin and Max via email about SSL for both our own new site as well as a 2nd site for a client, and I just wanted to verify/confirm this is the case.

We spoke about adding SSL to a standard package (for 2 domains), and this was Kelvin's last email regarding this:

*****

And I've just been told that we can now organise the whole SSL certificate and installed for you, the price is:

SSL Certificate   - $49

SSL Installation  - $24.95

Dedicated IP      - $2.50 per month

*****

I understand this price is for each domain and that each will have it's own certificate..

We will be signing up the first new domain for testing in a day or so ... I am assuming that this is a "new" package and will require emailing support after we initially setup the domain?

Basically, we want JSP support (as we have on *******.net), and the above SSL package, just not sure what to choose when signing up the new domain...

Thanks,
Dave Smile

All you have to do is to sign up, and select the jsp/servlet addon from the addon packages. And that should be it Smile

For the ssl, it is setup after your account have been approved. And is done manually. Whenever you are ready just email support@lunarpages.com for the ssl.

Max:

Thanks very much ... we should be setting up the new domain today.

I just posted a reply to Kelvin on another topic but want to repeat parts of it here for anyone considering LP...

Our first site has been a "testbed" with you guys and I have to say that between this *fantastic* forum and your excellent support folks, I am becoming more and more impressed with you every day! ...

We've often had the opposite, great promises, then, especially with databases and java support, poor support.

Keep up the great work!

I'm pleased you like lunarpages.

Support for Java and Databases is good here. They are complicated topics though, with a lot to absorb and many mistakes to make, I think that's why some (other) companies have difficulties providing support for them.

It's not a problem here though! Smile
