I was wondering if you can host other people's sites.  Like www.myname.theirsite.com. without letting them have access to your files...

you can have subdomains (www.subdomain.yourdomainna.com) with its own FTP accounts (depending upon your plan it may cost extra).

well if you get the premium account you get 25 ftp accounts, with the standard account however you have to pay a little extra (a few bucks or so, i dont remember exactly) to get additional ftp accounts. send an email to info@lunarpages.com for pricing questions.

To answer your original question,

You are not allowed to resell accounts,

You can setup more than one website, in subdomains or subdirectories, but you need to have the premium plan, or buy more ftp accounts to stop the accessing your files.

Even then, they could access your files using a scripting language.

I don't think it sucks, like you said, you get what you pay for!

Do I understand you correct that you can ONLY have subdomains under Premium Plan?

I have six seperate domains but with most hosts I can have them under one account and one IP. If I need seperate accts for each one doesn't make economic sense vs alternative hosts.

Nope..  "[Smile]"  You can have 15 subdomains under the basic plan.

And I set up a subdomain called "files" and put a web-upload on it, so a couple of my friends can have their little space on the web too.  "[Smile]"  I use this file management system and it works great! (and it's free)

Sorry you misunderstand.  I do not want subdomains. I need six seperate .com level domains under one account.  Combined about 30gigs a month of traffic but only has about 30mb combined storage.

I also believe I read adult content (non porn) is OK.

You want 6 sites with .com domain names on one account?

That is possible.

To have all the domains pointing to the 1 site, is free,

but that's probably not what you want.

To get them all pointing to different directories costs $2.50 per domain per month.

Normally the limit is 5 domains on one account, I think, but 6 probably would be ok.

You should e-mail support@lunarpages.com to find out.
