I am pleased with what I see from Lunarpages so far but I am concerned that your server uptime is not posted anywhere on the site. Nor do questions in the forum really address it other than say you monitor the servers 24/7. I am just looking for a solid answer, and would seriously consider ordering if I recieved one.

I have been here since the end of December and came from a host who posted 99.9% uptime, yet their forums were constantly filled with complaints about being down, mySQL problems, really bad connections and speeds. I did some math and reviewed the webstats and it was more like a 78.8% uptime.  I have had ONE problem since I have been here and it was only for 30 minutes (email problem). So just because it's posted isn't always the answer.

I like to compare it to this scene in a movei where the guy says "wheres the guarantee?" and the salesman says, "look, I could put a lump of crap in here, stamp it guaranteed and all you would have is a guaranteed lump of crap".

My point to all this rambling? So far so good here without the uptime posted anywhere. Very satisfied so far.

Cheers,  "[brows]"

Thanks, I didn't mean to come off as confrontational. I have had some bad web hosting experiences. I see now that they do say 99.9% Uptime on the Hosting Page although some things, like "However sites that use extreme amounts of server resources (to the extent they adversly effect our servers) will be terminated without any notice and no refund will be issued." In the terms of service concern me. I don't want to be terminated because they deem that I am the cause, and be out $$ because of it.

Oh, and Tommy Boy is a great movie. I completely agree.

Don't worry, you would have to really be abusing the service to get cancelled like that.

The chances are that you would get a warning if your site was causing problems, and not just be cancelled straight away.

However, if you do abuse the service, lunarpages will not tolerate it.

Yeah, thats what I assumed, but it's always good to check. Esp having been burned before. I highly doubt I would come close to doing anything like that to the servers, not going to run any scripts. I understand the policy and it makes sense. Thanks for all your help.

No problem.

Don't worry, lunarpages doesn't con people/rip people off. The reputation of the company and customer satisfaction is very important here.

Would it be possible for anyone to describe in detail some previous examples of people being terminated?  So I would know what this is all about.

We do not terminate anyone, we suspend them. And unsuspend them when the situation have been corrected. We keep logs of abuse. If it happens over and over again. We might ask the customer to leave.

Basically, if you bring a server down, thats the only reason. That an spam/bulk e-mailing of course.

It happens very rarely.
