Can someone give me an example of a webmail URL address? My company does not support special "ports" due to security and it's hard to find a web hosting company that uses https or that doesn't use special ports when accessing webmail. Thank you.

The webmail is either accessed through http://www.yourdomain.com:2095or http://www.yourdomain.com/webmail , which redirects to port 2095. You can access your mail through POP3 if you like, or you can install your own e-mail reading software, in your website, running on the standard port 80, that would work.

Is there a test page where I can try to see if my work LAN will let me bypass into your webmail functions/feature? My WAN only allows 80 and 8080 traffic, that is it. </font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">quote:</font><hr /><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Originally posted by Stephan: <strong>The webmail is either accessed through http://www.yourdomain.com:2095or http://www.yourdomain.com/webmail , which redirects to port 2095. You can run a cgi proxy script on your site to access webmail port 80 if thats the case.

To test it, just goto http://www.uglypeople.co.uk:2095If it prompts you for a username and password, that's ok. If it doesn't work, you can use a proxy, or install your own webmail.

The normal 2095 port does not work. I'll need to be able to access my email from work of course, because that's where I live and spend most of my pathetic life at! I'm not sure about installing or having a CGI to do this...is it hard and will lunar do it for me at all? Just asking...I've been searching a while for a reliable, relatively quick hosting company and it's taking too much time! Thanks, Michael quote: Originally posted by Stephan: To test it,

So is installing my own webmail as you said a hard thing to do? I NEED to access to view my email at work through my tight firewall we have. Ports cannot be used, as long with pop servers of anykind. I can't even FTP at work!!! I have been continuing to look at other hosting companies and some are CHEAP and some are EXPENSIVE. I won't mention any names here, but I was with an expensive one that was just draining my pocket. Their service was %100 and downtime was 0. It's what you pay for these days, huh? quote: Originally posted by Stephan: To test it,

Actually it is very easy, we have a number of clients that have installed squirrel mail because of the exact same issue.

Squirrelmail I like and have used before. Am I allowed to compile and install this myself? Will Lunar do this for me? Just curious. quote: Originally posted by Max: Actually it is very easy, we have a number of clients that have installed squirrel mail because of the exact same issue.

you can't get it to work. spell checking makes a call of the exec function, which lunarpages has disabled. i know there is a workaround for it, but i'm too lazy to learn php to hack the plugin myself.
