I am looking at Lunarpages for hosting my site. I sell gift products and need a lot of space because of pictures. I want a database,SSL and mailing list would be nice but not necessary. I understand you use cpanel5. Is that for both plans or just the premium? Cpanel5 comes with 2 shopping carts, but you say there are no carts with the basic plan. Why should I choose lunar over the other hosting company? They have more space, more bandwidth, etc...I am tossed up between the 2 of you. What would be best is a combination of both...but I can't have that.

Hi,

Cpanel is used for both plans.

SSL only comes with the premium plan.

The shopping carts can be installed on the standard plan, but you will have to do it manually.

The premium plan has one click shopping cart setup.

Lunarpages gives you 300Mb or more, at least 20Gb of bandwidth, 60Gb on the premium plan, we are very reliable, and have great technical support.

From my experience, you can setup the shopping cart with 1 click too from the control panel. Just that it didn't have SSL to allow you to encrypt sensitive information such as credit cards number. But this matter if you are accepting order with email.

If you are using 3rd party credit card processor like 2checkout.com you won't need the SSL because transaction are proccessed by them. So Lunarpages can still fulfilled your need.
