I recently upgraded from a basic plan to a reseller plan.  LP migrated my sites for me, which apart from one or two minor hitches, went well.  On one of these sites, I cannot access my email through webmail or Outlook (only cPanel), so I know the emails are there.

Email accounts are set up identically to my other sites - which work: two subdomains (mail.website.com, and webmail.website.com).   I've set both subdomains to redirect to Horde, using the subdomain redirect function.  When I navigate to either location on the site in question, I get the error: Server not found.

While the emails DO exist within my file manager, I CAN access them through my root address in cPanel.  However, my client needs direct web and Outlook access to their email.  Not sure what's happening, but I'm pretty confused at this point and need help quick, as this has been on the fritz for over a week.

Incidentally, if someone could explain the file/folder relationships with how mail accounts are handled, that would be very helpful.  I have a folder in my root called "mail", and folders in my public_html folder called "mail" and "webmail", which don't appear to contain anything.  Which one is being used here?  Is any one or the other unnecessary?  Do I need to put redirect commands in .htaccess files therein as well???

try using just domain.com instead of mail.domain.com or webmail.domain.com in ourlook. For webmail access try using domain.com/webmail... the folders inside public_html are there because of the subdomains being setup to redirect... but it seems like those redirects aren't working...

Many thanks GMTurner...  There's a good chance this was a propagation issue as both mail. and webmail. domains now appear to be redirecting.   Mr. Green
