Hi there,

One of your representatives got in touch with me a few weeks back enquiring whether I would be able to resell hosting on behalf of LunarPages, and I ask her a few questions, and she reffered me to these forums.

I am pretty interested in hosting although I would like to sell all types of hosting, like Shared, Reseller, VPS and dedicated. I would also like to run it white label without my customers knowing that I resell. And would also like to have both Windows and Linux systems to be able to be resold.

I know that is a little demanding, although I like to be able to control and manage my own customers my self. I refuse to use affiliates programs though, I find it pretty annoying, and would like my users to think they are hosting everything with me.

If someone could answer this it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Regards,
Kieran Taylor.

I think the Lunarpages Reseller plan might be right up your alley.  It makes it super easy to resell hosting accounts yourself, and pretty much makes you your own little hosting company.  You can see all the plan's details here:

If you have any specific questions please let us know because we would be more than happy to help!  Thanks!

Hi there,

Here are some questions which I do definatly want to ask about the resellers plan.

When you get the 1000MB Quota for the disk storage and the 100GB bandwidth, is that only for the hosts website?

Do you allow us to sell shared, reseller, vps and dedicated packages? I want to sell all of them if possible.

Do you offer both Windows and Linux servers to be sold?

Despite what packages or servers we sell, do we still get full anonomity from you and our customers?

Each reseller account including the primary account (yours) would have the 1000mb storage and 100GB bandwidth. These amounts cannot be increased or decreased.

On our reseller plan you would only be able to sell the basic package that are in the reseller specs seen here:

At this time we only offer the linux plan for the reseller package. If you wanted to sell Windows plans you would have to get a dedicated server plan, set it up for windows and resell your space from it.

The reseller plan would have your own label on it and there would be no way for your clients to know it was Lunarpages.

I hope this was helpful,

I'm confused. 1GB of storage and 100GB bandwidth is tiny (cf. 250/2500 in the Basic Plan). Has this been updated recently? What exactly does it refer to? Is this the total disk and bandwidth to be parceled out to all a reseller's customers, or is it something else?

The 1Gb of disk space and 100 GB of bandwidth is per client you have (or each hosting account you have under your reseller account will get this amount).

Hi there,

Sorry although that type of reselling is very small time to me, since I have been doing this a long time now. I have noticed, that unless you can sell hosting on a larger scale and different types of hosting, the more succesful you are naturally.

Thank you for your kind support anyway.
