i submitted my site to google over two months ago and still nothing. i don't really know the rules of how your website should be structured, but i think there may be fundamental flaws in my site which google can't catch. can somebody help me? thanks

One thing you should try is to get your site listed at dmoz.org or Yahoo!  Google will pick it up for sure then.  Otherwise, it's just one of those things.  Not all sites submitted to Google will be listed.  You can help your chances by getting other sites that are listed to link to your site.

Hmm, besides the comments above all I can say is be patient. Sometimes it takes a while to get listed is your site isn't extremely big or not so good off with links to your site.

How did you submit by the way? Directly through Google or through one of those "Get Listed with a 10000 Engines for Free!" things?

There is no better way than to let the Search engines find your site by following some referral links on the other sites. They rate the links found by themselves more than those submitted by the web site owners

So work to exchange links with some sites with similar themes as yours and this would push up  your site ranking in most search engines as well as the page rank in SE like Google.

And don't use the mass submission services. It would only make you banned from SEs.
