You can use HTML Meta tags to create titles, keywords and description for your website. They are placed between the head tags before body tags. Meta contains short site summary which would get displayed as description in search engine result and other important specification. Try to get yourself aware about all Meta tags available for different purpose.

Meta Tags they are information inserted into the "head" area of your web pages. Other than the title tag information in the head area of your web pages is not seen by those viewing your pages in browsers. Instead, meta information in this area is used to communicate information that a human visitor may not be concerned with.

meta description tag allows you to influence the description of your page in the crawlers that support the tag (these are listed on the Search Engine Features page).

<meta content="your description" name="description" />
<meta content="keyword1, keyword2, keyword3, keywordN" name="keywords" />

But now meta tag doesn't have any weight-age in SEO.

Please use [ quote ] tags when quoting another post. Otherwise it looks like you're stealing. -- Moderator
