Hi!

I have had this site up for about 6 weeks. http://www.arcadenut.com I am happy sofar with the traffic. It seems to be steadily building Smile

My question is about Google PR the more I read the less I know! I try very hard to get links writting other webmasters to exchange links. How many links do I need to get a ranking?

Also, when I go to this site http://www.widexl.com/remote/link-popularity/index.html to see who is linking it doesn't show any links at Google...I don't understand this?

THANKS,
Joe

Cool site. If you ever want to link to any Nintendo reviews (it seems you're liking to other sites about game reviews), try my site, nintendoinsider.com

Hey, the best way to get people to link to you is through Affiliation. Go around to game-related sites and look for Affiliation pages on them. Then request you be added to them, and in return you link to their pages. Try this - http://www.gamezone.com/affiliate/index.htm

From my understanding Google ranks you according to the amount of links you're getting, so the more the better.

Google is a lot pickier on links than other engines such as AllTheWeb. For example, that site shows me that I have 0 links with Google but over 500 with AllTheWeb and Lycos. Those two engines like to pick up links from forums where I post my site URL in my signatures. However, Google doesn't do that with me. They like to take nice links to my site and right now I don't have any.

For you pagerank, you want to get as many links to your site as possible. The better your links the more they will help you though. For example, if you get a link from a site that has a Google PR of 8, then that will help your PR quite a bit, whereas links from sites with no PR or very low ones might do you no good. You should also keep on adding content to your site because the more of it that you have the better.

This is a tip for you: try writing reviews on the games that you have on your website, or just write any kinds of articles that you know about and attach your website's link to the bottom of the writing. Then go to sites that might want your articles and ask them to put them on their sites. These kinds of links are very good and will help you quite a bit.

Hope that helps. Good luck! Smile

Hi, and THANKS for all the great advice!

I just received this email from these people www.ReflexiveArcade.com about their affiliate program.

I thought it might be a good way of adding more content to my site. Is anyone familiar with them or have any thoughts on this?

THANKS again,
Joe
