In my opinion Link velocity refers as the ratio of back links you have created in a day or in a week. Search engine also frequently checks link velocity for all the website to ensure the website is not doing spam over internet....

Hello Guys,
Link velocity means the speed of links which you are getting in your site. But the most important thing to link velocity is that are these links steady flow in your site continuously? If yes, then your link velocity is the best, then you have and if not, then it is the worst thing happen to you.

So Link Velocity help google algorithm to determine the site link building process is natural or not. So building hundreds of links in single is not wise strategy. we need to maintain the link building flow.
