I got an unsolicited phone call this week from a sales person from goeventure (.com) promoting redzee (.com).  It is a pay for placement engine that sells its top three spots.

It sounds a little too good to be true.  Does anyone have any experience with Redzee?

I'm an experienced PPC person.  I've got a $10,000 a month advertising budget that mostly goes to Adwords and Overture.  I use some of the smaller engines as well, so it would be easy to add them to what I'm doing.  I just don't want to get ripped off.

Always been taught if it "sounds too good to be true, then it probably is". They advertise they sell the top 3 position in Redzee's search engine at a very cheap price, but if no one uses that relatively unknown and new search engine, what have you gained??

Goeventure would scare me as it appears Google has gray barred them on the page rank bar. That's usually a tell tell sign Google doesn't approve of what they do.

That said, you have more experience with Adwords and Overture than I do, so can't be of any help other than a two cent opinion.   Confused

Paskenell,

I should have listened to you.  Redzee.com so far has not delivered.  As I mentioned, I've got some experience with pay per click.  If I spend a dollar I get back at least $1.50; some months I get back $2.00.  So my website is not the problem.  The quality and quantity of traffic is not what they promised.

I bet with my head and not over it, but I could have used the $200 I wasted to take my family to a show or given it to a charity.  I've allegedly received 186 visitors and none of them have completed my questionaire.  At least 25% of my visitors from Google, Yahoo and MSN convert.  Only about 5% convert of my visitors from the second teir engines convert.

There are too many rip-off artists in the world and unfortunately too many of them have websites.
