I have keyed in certain words that I thought would be applicable to my site under search engines...I use my words that I have selected but my site name doesn't come up...

If someone wants to try for me use small business, North Shore, Newburyport, restaurant, hair salon, spa..

Tell me I, theriverwebdesigner.com, appears...

You might not find yourself with search engines just yet. It can take weeks and sometimes months to be crawled by an engine and posted on their listings. Have you submitted to any search engines yet? Also, those words you are looking to find your website under are very competitive and you might not find yourself listed withing the top 10 pages just yet. It takes time and quite a bit of work, but you will eventually get in.
