I hadn't heard of it either, but that's no excuse for not trying a simple search. From the definitions I saw, the use of a Squeeze Page sounds a bit disreputable (i.e., pressuring or forcing someone to sign up for something).

A squeeze page is a web page that is particularly designed to induce visitors to choose into your web site. A well-designed squeeze page can adapt as much as half of the people who visit it, into potential customers.

This is a webpage that’s entirely dedicated to capturing a visitor’s name and e-mail address. This is what allows direct response marketers to build a list on the Internet … develop a relationship with that list … and then sell products and services to the prospects on that list.

A squeeze page is a lead capture landing page created, and built to get other marketer’s names and emails. The purpose of the squeeze page is to collect the visitors name and email once they arrive to your squeeze page landing page.It is so important because it helps you build your email list, a list of customers ready to buy from you, your very own instant traffic source where you can email your list and get instant website traffic. _____________________________________________________________________________________ hotels In bangalore

A squeeze page is generally used to capture an email address. However, lately some newspapers and magazines are using squeeze pages to encourage subscriptions. Squeeze pages often pop up when you click to any page of a website. The cover the content of the page. Sometimes you can click them off and sometimes you can't go any further in the site without complying with their request. Hence the "squeeze".

A squeeze page is a Web page that contains information that would interest the marketer's targeted readers. It is designed to obtain a reader's name and e-mail address information by encouraging users to opt-in to an e-mail list to receive more information about the topic.

Squeeze pages typically contain a small amount of content along with an opt-in sign up form. In order to gain access to the rest of the website, a visitor must enter their email address into the sign up form. They are then provided access to the rest of the site, or instructions for accessing the rest of the site.
