Deep link is a device used by sites to point a guest straight to a web page within the web page instead of the web page or home web page of the site. Deeply connecting allows guests to go straight to the information they require, which may be available on a certain web page of the web page, but not on the web page to which the primary link brings.

A hyperlink either on a Web page or in the results of a search engine query to a page on a Web site other than the sites home page. Typically, a Web sites home page is the top page in the sites hierarchy, and any page other than that is considered "deep."

Hello Guys, Basically deep linking is the linking of information to another page from a website page instead of the actual home page itself. A regular link will point to yahoo.com for example, where as a deep link will point to a particular web page inside of yahoo. Or perhaps consider a regular link will point to the MySpace homepage, a deep link will point to a members profile or some other specific feature page inside of MySpace. That is really a nice definition, Deep Linking is nothing but making a hyperlink that points to a specific page or image on a website, instead of that website's home page.

Hello Guys,
Deep linking is creating a hyperlink that points to a specific web page or a picture on some website. The URL of a deep link contains all the information for pointing to the respective item. Most of the commercial websites object the other websites by creating deep links into their content. This is mainly done either to avoid the advertising done on the main pages.

When it comes to deep linking, the very important part of it is the canonical url address wherein the issue if you do link build with a slash at the end or without slash.
