After adding several grey hairs wherever I could squeeze them in, I decided that at this point the best background is no background at all!
Dreamweaver templates are wonderful, useful, time-saving time bombs waiting to blow up...but we had a little talk and I think I got that figured out.
Drops now have borders, and contrast to what's behind them.
IE used to render tables so nicely, it was NS I used to worry about.  Seems the shoe is now on the other foot.  My tables got a bit wild in IE, but held in NS.  Go figure.  But, got that pretty much okay.  Thanks again for all the great feedback!

hey very nice design, i don't know if some one mentioned this as i only skim read the rest of the posts but ill say it anyway.
I noticed on this page http://www.autorepaircd.com/new/auto-repairs-main.htm
that theres a lot of text, and that kinda created a problem.
It need the paragraphs broken down into smaller chunks for better readability.
I hope no ones mentioned this before, if so then i look like an idiot and please ignore me

*Code for dropdowns now available.* It's at:
http://www.lunarpages.com/twebman/script/js/
It's up in my usual confusing manner, but hey, enjoy!
Thanks for the feedback.  You're right..especially that page!  You may have seen it when I was playing around with layout, seeing what looked right and held in different resolutions.  Now that I've reached a happy medium, I've settled on a design where I was able to stretch the text out.  I didn't want to separate it.  Now I can start pouring in some content. ..um, nah, now I'll sleep! I made it live now, so it's all at autorepaircd.com.
