Hi,

I don't see myself as a webpagedesigner, but I did an attemt with a site of a band I play in.
Please compare these two sites and tell me if there is something I could do with the new one.

the new one: http://www.syrgas.net/2100BIGBAND/index.php

and the old one:
http://hem.fyristorg.com/last/2100/

Thanks

Hej Tobbe!

Your new page is really an improvement to the old one.Dont think you need to add much to it.
Maybe a good image of the band?
The transparent imgaes of the instruments are cool. How do you do those images?

I definitely like your page; attractive, easily navigable. Excellent all around (And the pictures of all the band members? Y'all are a bunch of cuties! Rworr!)

However, on my browser (IE 5, Mac OS 9), some of the layout comes out wonky. For instance, on the main page, the curve of the nav bar doesn't match the curve of the red block in the centre. And on other pages, the content was kind of cut off at the top. So I don't know what's up with that.

I really dig the site, though. Keep up the excellent work, and let me know when you're touring through Canada!

the pagelogs.com javascript must be copied and pasted exactly as it appears in your account.  you must also, have the current pphlogger.js in your html directory.

all other users are utilizing pagelogs with success.

Yep, I have it running on all my sites with great success!!!

I find if i stick the code just b4 the </body> tag it works no worries.

And... it's invisible which is kinda cool.

Ummm what's the pph logger?  And, yes the instruments look nice.  Believe it or not, you can achieve a simliar effect with PsP gamma correction (or Adobe for that matter).  But it's very well done.  Nice job!

pphlogger is the javascript that tracks page hits, views, referers etc., and sends the data to the users account on pagelogs.com.

Hi and thanks everyone. I really love to get some nice feedback    And the reason that I reply so late is the stupid netscape-lunarforums incomperbility problem. Only had access to computers with netscape for the last days

Modify: tried pagelogger for one evening, but couldn't get it to work. Really strange. The instructions was easy to follow, but it wouldn't work    Will probably try again some day.

calamityJ: Will let you know when we tour Canada.
Can we (18 boys) stay with you    ???

tobbe, you actually did have 2 hits (traffic) to your site (pagelogs.com account), so it did in fact work, but something must of happened with your directory structure or something.

also, let me clarify an important fact, if you are tracking more than one page over mulitiple directories with pagelogs.com, you MUST have a copy of pphlogger.js in EACH directory.  let's say your tracking your /public_html/index.html, you would have a copy of pphlogger.js in the public_html directory.

if you are also tracking, /public_html/dir/file.html, you must also have a copy of pphlogger.js in /public_html/dir/

if you don't it will not track those pages and could very well give you js errors.

Tjenixen Tobbe!

Tycker din sajt ser mycket bra ut! But i have two suggestions:

1. Try finding "better" photos of the bend members - the colour is awful (sorry) and the contrast is too low. Maybe just fixing the contrast in Photoshop or something would be enough to satisfy me ;-)

2. The pages with the red corcle in the middle - couldn't you make it stay the same place while having the tect and other pics scrollable over it? Just Change put the code  - bgproperties="fixed"  - in the first body tag where the properites are specified.

Apart from that: Grrreat site!
