I can't find a topic I created previously about the Javascript I wrote to rotate banner ads on my webiste, but I can't find it. Theres actually no sign of any of the widgets I've posted on this forum, but anyway... Max asked about creating a popup ad that only appeared occasionally... perhaps this will help.

Remove Ads - Catches all clicks on ads and writes a cookie on the visitor's computer. Until the cookie expires, no ads are shown.

I know that. I did that. But I guess I posted it quite a while ago cause I couldn't find it in that list. Oh well... It doesn't matter now anyway.

Actually yes, but not uploaded yet. I'm in the process of redesigning my site and I've updated the menus to a javascript so that they are more dynamic. The javascript gets each menu item and corresponding link and adds it to the page. Now I can just change the javacript if I want to change the menus and everypage will have the changes on it.

I've also updated the rotating banner ads so they are added in the same way as the menu, rather than having an image swap triggered by the onload command as I used to.

The redesign should be ready to upload in the next week or so. I will try to remember to tell you all when it is up.

I've got a script I wrote a while ago that will tune ads to a user's pref based on what the user clicks on, through a series of cookie values.  I'll see if I can dig it up and post it somewhere, if it might do any good for anyone.  It could, of course, be adapted for lots of things, like redirects, session control, etc...
The script also had an optional pop-up opt in component, and if the user opted to a certain category, it could also influence ad tuning.

The redesign of my site is online now. If anyone is interested in seeing how my javascript menus function then they are all working now.
