Man- I logged in to one of my wordpress dashboards today to clean out the comment spam caught by Akismet- 260 in a bit under 24 hours.
Thank heavens I don't need to go through all of that by hand to delete them.

Yep, I agree it is nice.  Many years ago, I had a blog hosted with a really bad service, and still have nightmares having to delete spam comments one by one for hours.  Askimet does a fantastic job.
