Hi all. I have had this bridging problem with coppermine.I want to bridge it with a Forum board by  "Woltlab" called:  Wbb235e (BurningBoard)
There is a Mod to bridge it with the Forum:BUT it is for wbb234,...i have ver,wbb245e.In effect, the next /lastest version.

There is an error, and the Mod Dev gave an answer to the problem. But to me it is NOT clear. I canīt follow answers like: Just set the relative Path,...or: I did this! It donīt work for me...I need to know where?
And when? ................ Before i start the BridgeMgr? If so where?.....Do i go into the Config.inc.php of my FORUM.....Or do i go into the Config.inc.php of COPPERMINE ,and paste,or write the PATH??

Does anyone have any experience with this "Bridging" ? Coppermine and Woltlab?
If so:Can you please explain to me how to get around to this:

Fatal error: cpg_udb(): Failed opening required '/config.inc.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php') in /home/t/timeflash.de/public_html/cgn/cpg143/bridge/woltlab21.inc.php on line 28
..................................................................
Answer by the Mod Dev:
it seems your relative path to your forum is not correct... how did you set it?

you have to set the relative path to your config.inc.php of your forum

I set it like this

Code:
../wbb231/acp/lib

................................................................
OK, great,but where?

.....................................................................................

My problem is that :I donīt know where to set this! Once Bridging starts, there is NO where to make any adjustments untill i get the error, and then the Browser will not take the command.

There is no official support for this, but i am grateful for any helping hand! I am over 1 month on this, i have seen this in effect,i asked the guy to give me a quick helping hand but he would not do it.
Thnx,
PK

I noticed the path to the script was:
Quote
/home/t/timeflash.de/public_html/cgn/cpg143/bridge/woltlab21.inc.php

I'm curious which plan you are on since this does not appear to be the typical path for the shared linux plans which are generally /home/cpanelusername/public_html. And since that path was generated by PHP, I'm assuming that it really is where the script is located. Are you on a dedicated plan by some chance? Or is this not hosted with LP? Just trying to get an idea as to what the directory structure are on the server you are on.

It might also help to know what the path is to each of the various parts... eg. what is the path to your forum, to the bridge files, to the config.inc.php, etc?

You set the relative path in the bridge manager. If you need to change a setting then you must disable the bridge and then re-initialise it with the new settings. No manual editing of files is normally required.

hummm, i swear...i canīt for the life of me see where to do this! The Woltlab is NOT listed there...so i put the woltlab21...(The Mod) down at the very bottom where it says: "Custom Forum"  and it said;DONOT PUT inc.php...just: whatever

So i put: woltlab21   (The Mod)

I did this bcos .I donīt see any other choice to CHOOSE from. There is only vBullentin, phpBB, and others. So i chose the very bottom slot, and put: "woltlab21"

I swear i donīt know what else to do ! No where did anyone ever say WHAT to choose in this Window WHEN using this Mod....and i canīt get anyone to say it.

So that is why 1 month later i am still asking ... everyone say this, but the answers is still to General....What do i choose at the window where it says:
CHOOSE APPLICATION TO BRIDGE COPPERMINE WITH???

This is what i think i need to know........WoltLab is NOT there for me to choose from.
I have both programs installed on the same Database.

Thnx,
PK.......

You enter the name of the bridge file without the extension. It's not going to be an built-in option if it's a mod.

Yes, you are right. I have done that for about 25 times now....woltlab21

I guess i have to just accept that this Mod does not work for this new version. It gets all the way to the end,and then it gives me the error.

N E way, Thnx Nibbler, you really tried to help me get this.
Man i appreciate it, no fault of anyone...just one of those THaNgZ!

I would have given up a long time ago,but i paid over $100 + for woltlab, because i saw it Bridged with coppermine...thatīs one reason iīm so frustrated.

I guess i have to make the best of it,

Have a good one man,

Ironically, the fact that it is $100+ is the very reason a wbb bridge is not a standard Coppermine feature.
